Velayudham breaks musical records

Vijay’s Velayudham audio was released a few days in Madurai. Now the audio seems to have a big impact, especially on Vijay’s fans. Sony music launched the music in to the market and all the CD’s were sold out in just one day a source said.
Not even a single CD was left out and it is said to be a new record in Tamil cinema. The music for Velayudham has been scored by Vijay Antony. Now the team has been reworking on getting a repeat of the entire order.

Sony Music Entertainment Chennai Ashok Parwani said, “Velayudham has every record and the units were sold on a single day. The soundtracks are original, touching and outstanding. I am sure that the songs will go down in Tamil cinema history as some of the best melodies of our times. The response that we have been getting is overwhelming”.
The Chillax song sung by Karthik & Charulatha Mani Mayam is topping the charts. There are six songs in the audio.

2G Scam : Tatas paid Rs 20 crore to Raja

Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa has made sensational comments against the Tata Group. Balwa on Tuesday accused the Tatas of paying former telecom minister and 2G scam-accused A Raja Rs 20 crore in the name of charity.

According to Balwa Tatas made the donation of Rs 20 crore to Raja in the name of charity to a medical college-cum-hospital in Perambalur and acknowledged it was done on a special case. Balwa's lawyer Majeed Memon referred to a letter written by Raja to the Tatas regarding a donation of Rs 20 crore for a medical college-cum-hospital in Perambalur.

"On September 15, 2009, Ratan Tata himself wrote to Raja acknowledging the receipt of his letter for donation and also mentioned that Tatas have never made a grant of this magnitude to an external person. However, the grant of Rs 20 crore is made to a hospital in Perambalur as a special case," Majeed Memon said.

Memon asked the court as to what is this special case that Ratan Tata referred to and why is it not being looked at suspiciously. "Making a donation as a special case is the easiest way for a person to receive favour. If I were to give illegal gratification of Rs 200 crore as alleged for favours from Raja, why would I adopt circuitous route where the money finally does not even reach him. I could have also made a cheque towards charity," he said.

Shoaib Malik beats Sania Mirza in Tennis

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has taken to playing tennis and is elated at beating his star wife, Sania Mirza, on a mini court.

"I play tennis with Sania twice a week. I beat her at a mini court recently," Shoab Malik said during a recent interaction at Lahore airport.

Malik, who developed interest in the game after his marriage to the Indian tennis ace, is now aiming to beat her on a standard court.

"I now want to win a game on a full-sized court," the former Pakistan captain said.

Emphasising on the rise in Sania's ranking, Malik pointed out that her game has improved after their marriage.

Malik said he was in India during the historic cricket World Cup semifinal between the arch-rivals but regretted for not being able to watch it live.

"I did not have a visa for Mohali," he said. Sania is passionate about cricket and the couple support their respective countries during an Indo-Pak cricket match.

"We watch the game together, she supports India and I support Pakistan," he revealed.

Talking about their marriage, the cricketer said both were happy. They are based out in Dubai but keep visiting their native countries.

"We live in Dubai and keep visiting both India and Pakistan. Both the High Commissions have been very cooperative in issuing us visas," he said.
