Gandhi To Hitler Movie Review

Gandhi To Hitler Movie Review

Story:

‘Gandhi to Hitler’ is a story set during World War II and is all about the letters written by Mahatma Gandhi (Avijit Dutt) to Adolf Hitler (Raghubir Yadav). The film also attempts to expose the rarely explored relationship of Hitler with his long-term lover Eva Braun (Neha Dhupia). Apart from that it also showcases the relationship that the two shared and their marriage that took place just before Hitler’s death. The creative minds behind this film have tried to put in lot of content compiled in one film and it is due to this that they failed to excel in even one aspect.

Analysis:
The film from start to end is a tale that only confuses the viewer as it leads nowhere.
From depiction to narration the film falls flat on expectations. It seems that it’s all about the heinous policies of Nazism and the heroism of Gandhian philosophy. The film is neither entertaining nor informative and as the never ending film moves on the audience wonders what’s up next?!

Performances:
Nalin Singh and Rakesh Ranjan Kumar’s poorly framed story has no potential to excel. Director Rakesh Ranjan Kumar fails at both the jobs that he helmed, one as a director he is completely unsuccessful in giving the film a direction and as a screenplay writer he’s unable to cover the loop holes that the story had.

Talking about the film’s actors, we wonder what made a talented performer like Raghubir Yadav to take up the film which does no good to his career. Neha Dhupia as ‘Eva Braun’ is a sheer disappointment and her experiment with off-beat cinema after a critically acclaimed film ‘Phas Gaye Re Obama’ puts a full stop to her successful run.

Technicalities:
The music in the film adds no drama that it was expected to! The film is a complete under performer and will leave you with quite lot of unanswered queries in your mind. Including this one: Why was this film made???!! Well we too don’t have an answer for that one.
