Chitkabrey - Shades of Grey Movie Review

Chitkabrey - Shades of Grey Movie Review

Story:
The film revolves around the persistent issue of ragging of students in colleges that often leads to fatal consequences.  Director Suneet Arora’s mediocre approach towards the serious issue has added to the further woes for the film. Ravi Kishan plays the man who was assaulted in the name of ragging and comes back with a vengeance to teach his tormentors a lesson.  His tormentors are seven couples who are brought together for a party and are slated to face Ravi’s character who has recovered from the trauma.

Analysis:

The film also was touted to be the boldest film ever but the explicit scenes in the film make it look cheaper than ever. The scenes lack aesthetics and have been absurdly portrayed. Also the teaching and the moral of the issue has been dragged too much which makes its over peachy.

Performances:

The performances by the stars add no fuel to this film. Especially Ravi Kishan who drew praises for his performances in films like ‘Raavan’ and ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’ has delivered a rather pitiful performance in this film.

Technicalities:

Same goes for director Suneet Arora who made huge claims before the film’s release. The film that was supposed to throw some light over the ragging issue turns out be a melodramatic film that has nothing to cheer about. From poor screenplay to the irrelevant story and loose script, the film has more minus points than the positive ones.

Plus Points: none

Minus Points: Performances, Technicalities

Final Word: The film is easily avoidable and is better left rather than wasting your time and money on a pitiable film like this.
